I had a squealer for years. A good smack upside the monitor usually silenced it.
FWIW, I haven't seen an intact 1084 front panel even once in all the years I've been shopping at surplus stores.
I've seen dozens of 1084's and 1084S's, and every single one has either no front panel at all, or one that is hanging from one hinge.
The plastic power cable guide on the bottom of the monitor is usually broken as well.
