Disappointed - no help at Amigakit
« on: October 17, 2025, 02:22:40 PM »
Update, page down:

I felt like the luckiest man last February, when I got my A600GS.
I've seen it evolve and had become amazing ... though, my unit has ... issues.
At first booting a configuration took forever and now .. now, no HMDI out.

I think my unit is faulty, but how do I get help?
Does anyone have a magic key for AmigaKit. No reply to emails, no-one picks up the phone in Luxenbourg or Cardiff, my message are read on WhatsApp, though no reply.
I'm starting to feel ... helpless.

Can anyone help?

Update 2026.10.18:
Got a reply from AmigaKit Luxenbourg.
They're busy with Amiga 40 Years in Germany. Will get back to me, they promised.

 Hi AmigaOldskooler

Thanks for your dedicated reply. Much appreciated.

The unit worked well until the update, where the new AmiBrowser got the download feature. Then it started to have very long boots for the included configurations - not my own.

I've not really used it for a months time, since I wanted to wait for an update, hoping this boot issue would be automatically resolved - only to experience the screen / monitor won't work now. Discovered it yesterday, when I switched on the A600GS.
So I guess it's something HDMI out.

I've tried :

- Two different screens
- Two different HDMI cables
- Three different chargers
- Three different power cabels
- Three different HDMI inputs (have a HDMI hub)

The unit switches on, cause I can see first the red - then green light inside the machine. And the unit also has USB out, as my USB-hub lights up.
It has serial number 460 if that helps in any way.

Again, thanks for your attention to this issue.
To me, it means a lot.

Hi again AmigaOldskooler

Thanks for swift and dedicated respons.

The screens appear not to get any input from the A600GS. The input and cabels work, though, as my Raspberry Pi 400 lights up the screen.

I did try something new, though.
I took the speakers' audio jack and plugged it into the A600GS to hear if it made any sound on boot ... no chime (or 80ies boot melody) :)

Hope this helps in diagnosing.

All the best,

Jake360
