Hey,
I recently did what you're wondering about. Using ZuluSCSI RP2040 I imaged two old SCSI drives (50Mb and 240Mb) that came with the A3000. It was as simple as to put them on the same SCSI bus, toggle the Initiator switch, power it on and let it do the work. It will scan the bus and image each device it finds, once a device is done it'll power it down/eject and move to next one. I had the ZuluSCSI board outside of the 3000 at the time, but since it it works with just termination power you could leave it in as long as the machine is powered off during imaging. With that said, there seems to be a few issues, according to open issues on the project page. I myself had issues imaging CD:s, two of the three Amiga CD:s I tried did not work. Not a big deal as I could image it from my PC, but still.
