I dont understand why a bunch of old people are wanted as advisors. To advise on how things worked in the 80s and 90s? And what are they going to bring to the table as far as product development now, the whole thing just seem like some kind of PR show to me with the super cringy slogans and stuff, but time will tell.

Can we have less bigotry please in these forums.

Ageism is the stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination against individuals or groups based on their age. It can manifest as negative attitudes, discriminatory practices, or systemic biases that affect people of all ages, though it is often associated with older adults

Moderators please attend to this.

Not sure if you are joking or serious. I'm 52 and wouldn't choose myself as advisor on a tech startup, it has nothing to do with bigotry.

I was serious, so to rephrase, I dont understand what hiring original staff is going to achieve (I didn't specifically mention old people now), unless of course you want to make retro stuff, but having watched both videos I really dont understand what direction this is meant to go. The vision is that the modern world need a sort of reboot from before social media became invasive and so on, so how are they going to achieve that, that's pretty bold. On the other hand at least is owned buy someone who wants to do something, but from the info being give so far I have noe clue what that is going to be.

I would buy a "new" 100% compatible Amiga 1200, since maintaining old ones is a chore, but I never had a C64 so not really into that.

Amiga wasn't my first, but it's the first computer that you can sort of use for something other than playing games. And the novelty of playing 80s and early 90s games wear off after 5 minutes for me at least. I have various emulated amiga systems, some are faithful recreations of era specific setups, like whatever was possible at the time I owned one myself, and some are testing what can be achieved with whatever progress have been made since. It's just fun to fiddle around with. But no matter how cool the games were at the time, I just find them to be boring now compared to new games  :P
