We are thinking of implementing a weekend get together IRC chit-chat once a month. This will give you a chance to interact with the site owners, ask questions, win prizes etc. This should help to stamp out any outstanding issues, help you to get the know the people in charge of Amiga.org and more. Times and places will be announced way in advance of course. And if you live in the Chicago area we might even do a live meet and greet at a restaurant from time to time. None of this is 100% yet of course but we would like to get some feedback on the idea.

Best regards

Amiga.org

I like this idea, let me know when it is ready to go and I will show up.

I have not been much of an IRC person in the past, but keep wanting to use it more often and meet up with other Amiga and MorphOS users online.

At what time and which TZ will it be? amiga.org dwellers being located all over the world this could be a slight problem.

It would need to be during a time where it is not too late for the European members and if it is on a weekend day, there will be less interference with people having to go to work.  Make it on a Saturday, so those in Australia and New Zealand can participate on it during their Sunday.

Of course there is no way to pick a time that will be convenient for everyone, but I think most people could be accommodated by choosing a time where the fewest number of members will be sleeping.  Saturday between 11am to 1pm my time on the West coast of the USA should work for most people.  Any earlier will make it too early for people in Australia & New Zealand I think and much later will make it too late for people in Europe.  Of course this will not be a good time for members living much East of Europe, unless they don't mind staying up really late on a Saturday night or very early Sunday morning.
