Gawd... The Amiga reduced to an iPhone app, very sad indeedy... :(

Not sad at all.  More Amiga on different hardware equals more exposure to non-Amiga users and more ways to enjoy Amiga for current and past Amiga users.

The original Amiga hardware won't last forever (though it will probably outlive you and I).

I like the fact that the Amiga legacy will be remembered and enjoyed long into the future due to the efforts of many people to emulate it on so many different hardware platforms.  Maybe some day the Amiga will even get some well deserved recognition in computer history, for all of its contributions and the silent impact it had on so many programmers & users that can never be accurately be measured.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Yeah, I think that there is the possibility of the Amiga community growing, but I am not one of the Amiga fans that still believes that the Amiga will ever make a serious come-back, or ever have close to the number of users that the Amiga community once had 15 to 20 years ago.

With that perspective I do however hope that we can get as many old Amiga users back as possible and also hopefully get some new Amiga users along the way too.

My current focus is to try to get more people interested in programming on and for the many different flavors of the Amiga experience (AmigaOne's w/AmigaOS4.x, Mac G4's w/MorphOS2.x, x86 w/AROS and MiniMig/FPGAArcade/C-One/Natami/WinUAE/EUAE & Classic Amiga hardware with AmigaOS3.x) without any fighting or jealousy.  Just good "Amiga" users & programmers creating new apps & games for all of us to use and enjoy, and/or porting existing apps & games from other platforms to the "Amiga" platforms we use and enjoy today!

We need more of this:

:knuddel:   (cooperation, tolerance & appreciation)

&   +  (ideas) which lead to

this  :rtfm:  (new or newly ported "Amiga" programs & games)

which give us this  ;)  (satisfaction & friendships)

which also leads

to this  :laugh1::biglaugh::rofl::razz::D  :drink:   (partying together)

and less of this:

:argue:  or this    :angryfire:

or this  :whack:

or this  :griping:

or this  :smack:

unless it is done for fun and games,

like this  :swords:

or this  :quickdraw:

or this

:flame::destroy:

(smiley fun for 2010)
