i am porting the game "Anvil Of Dawn" to MorphOS (multilanguage and talkie)
the game is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pvf415GQuA
I prefer the turn based strategy games over the first person shooter (or in this case "slasher"), but I am glad to see more people interested in porting and/or writing games and other applications for MorphOS, AmigaOS4.x and AROS.
I was making some efforts to create a group for programmers and people that want to learn to program, but I am now wondering if it would be better to try to find some kind of existing group and/or website where we can meet and discuss supporting each other with answers to programming questions and encouragement to finish projects. I started gathering information from people on the MorphZone.org site, but want to include programmers and programming students from all sides of the Amiga community, not just MorphOS users.
So, if anyone knows of a good site for programmers and people that want to become programmers interested in AmigaOS3.x, MorphOS2.x, AmigaOS4.x and AROS, please let me know. Anyone that has the same interest as myself in promoting new programming projects, supporting existing and potential new programmers, please contact me via email, my address is in my profile here on A.org.
Now that we have "more" and "faster" hardware to run all of the OSes I have mentioned above, with the possibility of more yet to come in the months ahead, it is even more important that we create and/or port new apps and games to our favorite OS of choice.
I have no grand delusions of a "comeback" that can compete with Windows, MacOSX, or even Linux, but we can stem the tide of losing more former Amiga users every day and possibly get some that have left to consider returning, so we can keep a community that is at least sefl sustaining and will survive another 25 years.
Edit: I don't know how I missed Cammy's post regarding using Power2People site for bounties which include all different Amiga-Like OSes. I'll head over there now and see what that site is like these days and if programmers for MorphOS2.x, AmigaOS3.x & 4.x and AROS are all welcome there.
