Never been to an Amiga show before. Professionally I use Macs so used to rather large Macworld shows. When I was an Atari in 80s and early 90s I did attened the World Of Atari show down in Glendale, CA. My guess, this AmiWest show will be kind of like those smaller Atari shows of yesteryear, even though I understand this is the largest show in some-time.
Just curious if a Amiga newbie not knowing much about Amiga can make this an all day event or is it just a hour or 2 walk-thru and then off you go?
Just curious is all. I am only an hour away and thought it would be fun to attend for the heck of it.

If you are only an hour away, I would suggest that you come to the show and look around, play with the machines and enter the Amiga Game Competition for a chance to win a 1.25GHz G4 eMac w/MorphOS2.6 installed (donated by me, value = approx. $50?) and free MorphOS registration license key donated by the MorphOS Development Team (value = 111 Euro/$153), or an A500, or a 1080 monitor, or other prizes.
I am also raffling off a 1.25GHz G4 PowerMac w/MorphOS2.6 registered (registration license fee donated by Pampers from Poland, Thanks very much). Besides all the great people that will be there to speak and give seminars, demonstrate the AmigaOne X1000 and SAM 460, I will be demonstrating MorphOS2.6 on my own table running on 4 (or more) different types of computers.
AmigaKit will have great deals on Amiga hardware and software, the SACC club will have their usual huge table(s) of old used Amiga hardware and software for sale, and many other people bring their own Amiga related items to sell or trade. SACC also raffles off prizes every few hours (or at some shows, every hour) and the greatest part of any AmiWest show is just talking and visiting with other Amiga users. Often, most of the show organizers, guests, sponsors and attendees get together and go out for dinner and drinks after the show, and/or get together in one or more of the hotel rooms to work on fixing gear, playing games or just bullsh!tting each other late into the night. It is a great time for everyone and not something you want to miss out on, specially this year with all the new gear being shown and no doubt new announcements that will be made.
Be there, or be .........
(and make sure to introduce yourself when you are walking around the show)
