Is this CyberStorm a 68060 CPU card, or a 68060+ 604e PPC card?

Your A3640 had a 68040 and used different libraries.  You need the 68060 libraries that would be on the install floppy(ies) for the Cyberstorm card from Phase5.  They are also not on your OS3.1 install floppies, so I would suggest that you either download them with a different computer and reinstall your A3640 into your A4000, then when you have your it booted the way it was running before you tried to install the Cyberstorm, you can copy the correct 68060 libraries and the Cyberstorm tools and utilities to your hard drive.  Then shut down and try installing your Cyberstorm again.  Using the Cyberstorm's SCSI controller can be a challenge (I am having difficulty trying to use larger SCSI-2 and SCSI-3 68pin and 80pin drives on my own Cyberstorm cards myself) getting the right termination setup and the right cabling can take some time.  For one thing, there is no termination on the Cyberstorm controller, so it cannot be at either end of the SCSI chain.  You must have terminated devices, or a cable terminator at one end and a terminated device at the other end of your SCSI cable with the Cyberstorm controller somewhere in the middle.

There are still a couple of sites that host the Phase5 files you need and many threads on all of the Amiga related forum sites discussing which ones to use and how to set it up.  Good luck.

It is a 68060 card with PPC on it. Apologies for not mentioning.

The SCSI is a real challenge indeed... So if I understand correctly I would need a cable with 3 headers and terminate on the drive and using a cable terminator? Very strange design IMHO. Would that be the way to go? Without SCSI the card does not do much in my A4000 ;-)

Funny thing is that the machine runs OK if I disconnect all drives and boot from floppy using the "Network Boot Disk"... I checked the disk, there is not a single library on the disk in LIBS...

I already put the 040 and 060 libraries on the HD, but I think the CS is messing up my video settings somehow with the "VGABoot" thing. I'll put the A3640 in again to run the installers etc. and see what happens.

Your first message didn't say anything about you having the install disks for the CSPPC board, or that you installed any new drivers or software before you removed the A3640 and replaced it with your CSPPC board.

I don't know what your "Network Boot Disk" is, but I think you are correct in guessing that a VGABoot thing could be the source of any of your video problems.  Which monitor did you say you are using?  And, are you using the A4000's 23pin RGB port connected to your monitor?

Edit: I see you are using a PicassoIV.  It should work with that combination, I am stumped.
