Maybe because OWB doesn't run on classic Amigas very well at all. Everyone knows even with a 060, 256MB RAM and a RTG card it's still too slow to use. IBrowse and AWeb are still the best choice for classic users without RTG, Netsurf is becoming the choice for RTG classic users, but OWB is still best used on Aros, MorphOS and AmigaOS4. Oh, and UAE of course, but then Netsurf is a better choice for running in UAE anyway.
Hi Cammy, (and anyone else who has experience with Netsurf and OWB on an emulated Amiga) I have been using IBrowse2.4 on my WinUAE/Amikit emulation, but have been thinking of setting up Netsurf and/or OWB to see how they run on a fast emulated Amiga environment. What are your opinions on the comparison of Netsurf, or OWB for an Amikit emulated Amiga? Which would you suggest and why?
I am also tweaking my A1200/060 w/256mb Fast RAM (first time I have had this much RAM installed in a Classic Amiga) and as soon as I figure out what I am doing wrong in setting up the wireless networking card with AmigaKit's EasyNet, I will be testing different browsers on it. I used to be an AWebII user back in the day (I hate that term, "back in the day")
