Buyer beware!
« on: June 07, 2008, 05:39:18 AM »
I found this the other day and wrote to the seller to tell him that he is mistaken about his item having anything to do with the Amiga, it is just a 386sx on an ISA card and his claims were incorrect.  Below is his reply, so I think you should all beware any dealings with Don Lee, aka "Demo" & demopoly1 on eBay.

Begin forwarded message:

Hi Dave,

Okay, I'll be sure to block you on all future transactions.

Thanks for your hostility.

It is laughable that he thinks it is worth $399 Before he changed the auction details, I think it said it was a 12mHz 386sx.

Well, I am glad that someone appreciates that it is misleading and not that I am being too "Anal".  I really only contacted the guy to give him a chance to correct the listing, but after he wrote that reply to me, I really let him have it in my last message to him.  He ticked me off.

My first messages were very friendly just asking for more information and then telling him he had made a mistake and that this card doesn't really have anything to do with an Amiga other than it would fit into an ISA slot.

He has sent me 3 more threatening emails since and still won't admit he is wrong.

I am going to block his email address as I have no need to read what he has to say anymore.

He is an arrogant "bleep" that I have reported, but as others have said, eBay won't do anything about it.

At least I warned a few of you about his lying ways and attitude.

Also, I don't think it is Doomy, I have received Doomy's wrath before and can tell the difference.
