If you want a really fast booting system just go back a little farther and get a C-64. It boots instantly to basic upon power-up. I agree! But let's not stop there, I would like to see work started on moving 3.9 forward again, because with the state of the lawsuit, who knows if or when work on OS4 will produce anything that will make us want to put 3.9 to rest and move on.
Even then, there will always be those few of us (like me) that want to use the Classic Amiga hardware to its fullest and for as long as it keeps booting.
If someone more capable than I would organize picking up where others stopped with development on AmigaOS3.9 Boing Bag 3 and go forward, I would be willing to do anything I can do to help.
