How to registered users of your software receive updates of your latest version?
I have yet to receive an email notification anything... no wonder Amiga is a dead platform.  Only pagestream & os4 list actively updates users of update releases to download.

First, it is not Reds software, so you are complaining to the wrong guy.  Second, Pagestream and OS4 are NOT the only active Amiga programs that update users when new versions are available, so that complaint and reason for the Amiga being a dead platform is not correct either.

There are many other program developers that update the community by notifying sites like this one when they have an updated version available.  Hollywood comes to mind as a recent example.

Amiga is not dead, there are still thousands of users that use and support it, but it is far from mainstream.  If you want better support, support the developers better.

Edit: Red, what are the possible problems with installing and using it on the PC via AmigaForever and how did you overcome them?  Myself and others will want to know.

No, it's not dead! It's in a state of coma, to be precise!
As for the userbase; thousands of users is way optimistic;
20 or 22 (at most) is the most accurate estimation!

Surely you jest!  At the moment I write this there are almost 100 users visiting this forum during the middle of a working day.  If you doubt my claim, look at the number of registered users on this forum and again on other Amiga websites.  Although all may not be still active, my estimate still would be between 2,000 to 5,000 Amiga users worldwide.

I consider those that no longer own an Amiga, but use all the different versions of UAE to still be Amiga users, and if you check the AmiKit website you will see that it has long past its 10,000th download of AmiKit 1.4, so perhaps my estimate is much too low and there are perhaps 12,000 people that still have interest in the Amiga and use it in one way or another on occasion.
