Whatever they make you can guarantee it wont be cheap. I think we are looking at prices beyond that of a standard medium cost PC.

If they can truly deliver a "Super Amiga" design with the onboard ethernet, improved graphics SuperAGA, faster blitter, 90mHz 68060 plus the possibility to add faster, more modern CPUs at a later date, 16mb chip RAM and 256mb or more Fast RAM I think they will have something I would be interested in buying and developing for.

It might not be as fast as a PPC OS4 machine, but it could be a better starting place than an old Classic Amigas to add a more modern CPU and OS4 and/or MorphOS.

@spihunter,

Yes, I agree, but it is also new hardware that provides an expansion CPU slot that can lead to many different configurations.  One of which could be OS4/MorphOS.  Another direction is an enhanced 68k OS3.9.  Since AmigaOS4.x is already taken and AmigaAnywhere2 is stated to be AmigaOS5, where do we go to name the enhanced version of 68k AmigaOS3.9? :lol:

How about OpenAmigaOS1.0?

I like it.  Maybe call it the Amiga 5000.  I will definitely buy one if it ever gets produced.

Well, we can't expect to be able to use the name Amiga in the new name.  How about SuperAGA2008, or AAA2008? :-D
