Help appreciated with A1200NG D9 joystick/mouse ports

Remember that the original Amiga only got two ports, so if you got a mouse and a joystick connected, you're set ! If you want to play a game with two joysticks, you have to disable the mouse in the Controller menu and set only the joysticks to Port 0 and 1 ...

So, to be safe would be using a switch in one Port with a d9 mouse and Joystick attached?

Dunno if that works, never used one of those
