« on: September 24, 2024, 07:10:39 PM »
Ok, haven´t had much luck yet, of course the delivered Pad works and all DB9 Joysticks so far ....

A500 Mini Pad (wired) -> won´t work
PS4 Pad (wired) -> works (BT not tested)
Xbox Series S/X Pad (wired and BT) -> won´t work (is shown but will not pair on BT)
Logitech Gamepad F310 -> works -> needs to be in "DirectInput" mode
Speedlink Competition Pro USB -> works
Hyperkin Scout Premium USB -> works
8BitDo M30 (BT) -> works (wired not tested, should work too)
Retrobit Mega Drive 6/8 button Arcade Pad with USB -> works
Gamesir Nova Lite -> works

DB9 :
Competition Pro -> works
Quickshot II -> works
Atari Joystick (Clone) -> works

I’d be surprised if any Atari standard DB9 joystick didn’t work

Yes, you´re right, put them there just in case ... ;)

But : are there ANY USB PADs that are actually working besides the one that comes with the Unit ???

I have found one!  The Logitech Gamepad F310.  It needs to be in "DirectInput" mode, by having the switch underneath on D, not X (XInput).  The "Mode" button also needs to be on (lit up), as it will then use the D-pad rather than the analogue stick (the analogue stick works but - as you would expect for something expecting digital input - is erratic).

It works perfectly on both the A600GS interface and in-game.  The Start button brings up the A600GS menu (like pressing F12) and the A button is the standard Amiga fire button.  None of the other buttons do anything, although I've not tested CD32 games.

Nice :D Added it to "The List" ;)

A few  years ago I bought a Speedlink Competition Pro USB for use with The C64, which works like a charm.

A few days back I tried hooking it up to the A600GS, and it works very well there too.
The left main button acts as the Amiga fire button, not sure about the right hand main button as I haven't tried it with any 2 button games.

The smaller button on the left seems to change between 4 way and full 8 way control methods, which is kinda strange, and the smaller button on the right does nothing.

This is a perfect 80s style throwback controller for playing games on the A600GS.

This is what I bought (got mine from ebay though)

Added, thanks :)

I bought this wired USB controller for the A600GS, and it works well.

KMTech adapter with PS1 controller works well.

Config makes every other button than the 3 lower shapes buttons autofire/rapidfire which could be haphazard if accidentally triggered.

Aftermarket joypads enable the joystick part to be used otherwise it's the d-pad only for genuine PS1 controllers.

That adapter is for DB9 port IIRC ??

Bluetooth  :) I haven’t tried wired but I’m sure that will work too as it just presents as a standard X input controller afaicr

Thanks, list updated :)
