Out of curiosity I tried running the Amiga conversion of Cannonball (an enhanced Out Run engine that uses the arcade ROMs), to see if it works on the A600GS.
AND IT DOES!
The game comes up in an un-resizable window, which at 1080p is barely larger than a postage stamp, but it works!
The on screen FPS counter shows between 27-29fps, which, even on an accelerated Amiga is incredible considering the arcade run at 30fps.
Some sacrifices were made to make it run as fast as possible, it does not have the background graphics or car shadows, and there are no sound effects, with the tunes replaced by simple mod "remakes", but it is 100% playable and far, far better than the crap US Gold foisted upon us back in 1988.
You need to provide a copy of the Out Run revision B ROM set.
I took some screenshots (below), first is 1280x720, then 1024x600, then 640x480.
If you try to change the screen size to 640x480 or lower, make sure you back up Amibench first using the A600GS backup and restore function, as I thought I had borked it myself upon restarting in that res! (it just displayed a constantly flickering AmiBench startup screen until I frantically pressed mouse and joystick buttons trying to get it going)
