Just say the following sentence, and I'll know:

"I'm going to get a coffee from Starbucks"

I found a nice site with some examples of accents. It has the New York Brooklyn accent and also a South African dude explaining how to hunt a crocodile  :-)

http://www.gazzaro.it/accents/files/accents2.html

Edit: one of those English accents is definitely Karlos, explaining his trainspotting hobby  :-P

Okay, come on, where are the rest of the samples from the other members?

Huh?

I'm chooning you straight that you okes will never emulate my accent. Can't be done, my chaaainas.
It's not Kevin Pietersen catching one in the ribs...
It's not some guy saying jislaaik out of a Cortina window...
Don't forget to get the marshmallows and biltong strips if you intend to try it

"...Still waiting for yours, X-Ray..."

Nah, I am a picture man, not a sound man. If you check the TOS you will see it says that anyone who has contributed more than 70 images to the photo album is absolved of any further contribution, whether audio or social   :-P

What do I have to fear from a man who lives in a VW camper-van?  :-P

Hey you just reminded me of something. I picked up a copy of the free newspaper "South African" at the local Nandos today on my way back from work.
There is a mini-review of the new film "Blood Diamond" in it.
Of course, Di Caprio's attempt at a South African accent didn't go down well with the reviewer, who described it as somewhere between a Jamaican and broad Australian accent. They commended him on at least being consistent though.

Here's the top five list (according to the paper) of worst attempts to emulate a South African accent on film:

1) Pete Postlethwaite in The Constant Gardener. It was described as Afrikaans-Cockney.

2) Joss Ackland in Lethal Weapon 2. All they said was he should have been ejected off set. I wouldn't put him at number 2, but it was obviously an over-rehearsed attempt to emulate an Afrikaans accent.

3) Daniel Craig in Munich. He rolled the R wrong, and veered between Australian and Irish.

4) Val Kilmer in The Saint. (Actually I didn't think it was that bad an attempt).

5) Richard Roxburgh in Mission Impossible. He changed accents mid-sentence from fake US to fake SA.

Neither.
I am talking about the sound in between, the one that emulates the effects of a large meal comprised of brussels sprouts, lentils, butter beans and cabbage  ;-)
