I would go for it if it wasn't for the 16 hour limit. I would need at least a weekend's worth of battery back up for it. I already have the SATA controller and I have 2 x 1gb DIMMS that I could transfer over and then upgrade memory or possibly even mobo+memory.
But the thing that is likely to be the deciding factor is the price. I would have to pay about £300 pounds for the card and the other two DIMMS.
The raid0 idea is really cool though. Who would have thought it...RAID0 DIMM/SATA Drives?
