It's not just the films that don't match what we had as kids...look at the TV shows. I have fond memories of my childhood TV favorites: Maya the Bee, Dr Snuggles, Robotech, Gummi Bears, Cheesecake, Senor Onion, Barpaparpas, Mr Men etc. Even simple things like La Linea and Red 'n Blue aren't matched today. It's sad.
Now we have crap like Pokemon on the TV. Even Thundercats and He-Man were better than that!
Let's hope they retain the original spirit of the Herbie movies in this new addition.
