"That's money I could have spent on new handlebars"

I think you'll find that those flowers will make the missus emulate handlebars very well ;-)

I never give flowers. I know the girls like them, but I think they are a total waste. Dead in a week, out in the trash, £50 gone. I would rather go down to the Swarovski shop and pick out a nice crystal bowl of roses, or something else that is eternally beautiful.

However, there is one 'consumable' that must be respected and that is chocolate. Very fine high quality pralines, or even dark chocolates with cherry liquer centres are bound to delight the little lady.

Valentine's Day....hmmmmm....

"...What, you mean I can bolt a set of brakes to her?..."
--------------------------------------------------------

If you have a wrought iron headboard on your bed like mine, you won't need to bolt on any brakes

@ Blobzie

You've probably seen enough flowers to last you a lifetime. I suspect you would be a tricky person to buy a Valentine's gift for. I don't think the usual stuff would do. There are certain 'failsafe' gifts like those vanity vouchers for hairdo, facial, manicure, massage all in one morning session, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be 'optimum'.
Lacy Ann Summers lingerie - nope.
I reckon something more along the lines of a little excursion somewhere...with a decent bit of planning.

"..X-ray, I've a suspension fork and a set of disc specific wheels for sale at a very reasonable price. You'll have to supply your own red bow I'm afraid..."

----------------------------------------------------------

What kind of supplier are you, if you don't even provide the bow? And are the wheels scented?

"...ps, you might benefit from the above link, I understand that Titanium looks great on Blob..."

----------------------------------------------------------

The funny thing is...if Blobzie asked me to get her those handlebars, I probably would.  :-)

@ Toy Boy and Vince

I hear what you're saying, that love need not have a price tag, but surely Valentine's Day is an opportunity to be a little bit naughty, spring a few surprises and maybe do something a little out of the ordinary (even if it costs nothing)?
