Anyway we all know that marriage is for men who don't know how to use socks.
Which leads me to a new angle on the Great Sock Discussion. Socks are better than women because....

The worst that can happen is you get a hole in your sock, whereas with a woman you get a hole in your pocket.

Actually, I heard a good one from a married man:

"A woman marries a man, hoping that he will change...and a man marries a woman, hoping she will not change"
