I know this HDMI sound issue has been posted before, however I haven't seen mention of this scenario.
Playing anything (including AmiBench), I get no sound over HDMI.
However the sound works FINE when I am navigating the menu system, the start up sound etc.
If I look in AHi Prefs, the output is defaulted to 'Line' (and UAE sound). None of those sound options allow HDMI as an output (The output is not enabled for any sound option).
If I play in Octamed, no sound.
If I quit back to the A600GS menu, sound is ok.
I tried changing the monitor resolution per the other sound thread, and that did break the silence, the sound would play/pause super choppy and totally unusable, but shows there is obv an issue somewhere. I cluelessly assume within AmiBerry.
I wanted to try to edit the amiberry.conf file to try some solutions I found, but could not locate that file to try them.
So, in case someone else runs into the sound problem, I was curious if their main menu works fine.
Any thoughts?
(I have not tried the headphone jack, my systems aren't designed for 3.5mm input)
