Where to get Dell ST2320L Monitor Repaired?
« on: September 29, 2012, 09:24:18 PM »
Dell will not repair this, does anyone know where I can? I threw a dead hard drive across the room a few months back. Was pissed cause I lost a lot of data. To make a long story short, the hard drive hit my nice new monitor and not the wall. Now the screen is dead.

Dig up what type of LCD screen it uses, buy a replacement and then replace it, yourself. It's not that difficult and will give you peace of mind, not to mention peacock feathers for doing it yourself. ;)

I would like to go that route, but am having zero luck finding any replacement screens. Got any tips as to where to look?

Ebay, Bro. Check ebay, first. Then, once you get the LCD model, you can check pricewatch.com too,  but it's all about Ebay.

[EDIT] - I would suggest taking the monitor apart and looking at your damaged LCD screen. You should be able to find some model number on it.

The downside to this is that I can't figure out for the life of me how to open the thing. There only appears to be two screws, and going across the edges with a knife yeilds nothing.

Can't find a service manual on the net anywhere either. :/

Bummer, had an awesome display. Not so much in interlaced mode without an MKII, but for PC's and such, AMAZING!
