Does it matter what model 68000 I put in 2000?
« on: October 06, 2011, 04:54:54 AM »
I asked this in another one of my threads, but I fear that that thread shall become forgotten and unanswered, so I'm asking again here in a new thread, yeaaahhhh!!! Mommy always said I should try something new.

Anyhow, I am going to replace the socket and CPU on my 2000. I notice that there are various model numbers for the 68000. Does it have to match the model number of the one I just pulled or will any do?

Hmm OK.

Well I got my 64 Pin socket in the mail today...

It was a smaller version than I thought I'd ordered. The search continues. :/

Yes, I did the same thing one time. There are at least two different pin spacings.

Is there a specific name for the type I want?
