I'm with AmiDuffer, pick up a book and read.
TV makes people stupid, in fact there is scientific evidence to back this up in more ways than you can possibly imagine, such as the methods exploited in the book: Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television.

Though, if you are going to watch at the expense of your intellect, then may I suggest Lost in Space the movie?
I believe it was done with Amiga as well and has a lot better quality to it than your garden variety TV Sci-Fi program.

@ The Goose: Yes, West World!!!!

I just watched that again a couple months ago, then watched Future World again last week.

Sadly, they are going to remake West World and destroy it like nearly everything else they've remade, but the classics were amazing and I can't help but coming back to them (even if TV and Movies do dumb me down.) :)

In regards to the effects, I LOVE old effects. I much prefer them to today's video game graphics, especially in Horror movies. Squib effects I can live with, but everything else should be built with care and time through imagination and a steady hand.

Besides it seems that modern films are loosing much because of effects. Too much eye candy and not enough raw acting and character development. The art of story telling is dying, and sadly this trend is finding it's way into books as ironic as that may sound.

Though on the other hand, it is always nice to see some Amiga generated effects from time to time. They have their place.

For the note, I'm American (part Cherokee part Shawnee even) and I get irony. ;)

Sadly, yes, a lot of people don't, and a lot of good comedy gets destroyed when we stop and explain that we were "only joking".
