Whatever one you go for, try to make sure beforehand that Linux or Poseidon supports it. I had a digital camera work 100% with Poseidon, but then another not even being detected as one. Both were cheap rubbish. :)

No, you just use PencamTool or VHI Studio to grab the pics. Well, at least on my camera. The top-end cameras might have some kind of built in filesystem, but I've never used one.
