The reason that people want Pegasos running MacOS is because PowerMacs are massively overpriced and Pegasos are relatively cheap. The A1 is still not that much cheaper than the PowerMacs (if it all), so I can't see it becoming popular for that...

That said, what will run on Pegasos will run on A1. They are mainly compatible boards. There's no reason why an A1 user couldn't install Linux and MOL on top of that, or just use MacOS directly (if Apple ever allow it, that is).

Correct, but I should point out that this is not a limitation of the Pegasos but of Apple's licencing restrictions.
