A1 don't use OpenFirmware, so they crippled the Mac option from the start.

I was going to say Macs are more expensive, but I realised this is not true. ;-)

If you want a cheap Mac a Pegasos is a much cheaper alternative to an A1. Why should you pay Amiga Inc's licencing when you're not going to run OS4?
