Broadband usually starts at £20 a week for 256k, maybe there are some even cheaper ones. However, I'd avoid any that look too good. They can often have download caps and time limits.
I'm happy with Telewest blueyonder. No 24 hour cutoff, virtually no downtime, no caps or limits, £28/month for 768k.
