Okay. Which Filesystem have you used? FFS, SFS or PFS3?

Remember the older ROMS may not support bigger partitions greater than 2GB.

Also check settings such as Filetransfer settings etc.. Anything too big or fast can cause what you are describing.

Which Kickstart ROMs are installed in the Amiga?

How is the card partitioned? What settings does HDToolbox give you for each partition?  Size of each partition, Filesystem and version, Maxtransfer etc…?

You need to get these set right first, before making head way with an Installation.
