the numbering system for these ram's

***1100** = page mode
***1102** = static column

chip manufacturers have many differing numbering conventions
but the numbers above show the most common system for 4x1024 ram

SC ram is the fastest when used with a 68030 which is why they are sought after in A3000 motherboards

Sorry I forgot to add that you can not mix these types of ram in the A3000

the first ram installed in the first socket tells the motherboard whether it is SC or PM ram

PM at the start can have mixed SC + PM ram in banks

SC at the start ALL chips need to be SC or problems will occur
