The 3Com Etherlink III card worked flawlessly for me straight off, its a 3C589D card.

If you use the 3Com driver from aminet, you should also install CardReset and CardPatch files for the motherboard problems associated with a1200's and a600's

Use these files to allow the pcmcia slot to handle the ethernet controller properly.
