But i can see problems when you want to insert a cd...

Of course, it was never intended for desktop use, so one would argue that there is no need for removable media.

The point that AmigaOne and Pegasos II based systems don't have any special hold on the embedded/small form factor market is a valid one. The competition is out there, and it's much tougher than many people seem to think it is.

Not exactly a Mini ATX case, but I kinda like  this one. If the price wasn't quite so outrageous, I'd seriously consider it for my next system.

looks butt ugly man!

Agreed. It works like a giant heat sink and looks like one. Still, the looks I'd be able to live with...

though it sounds (doesnt sound ?) like it works a treat.

It does indeed. Think about it: no fans at all, even with monster CPU and GFX card. No noise and no dust. *sigh*...

V. expensive though.

That's the problem. It's way out of my budget, however much I'd love to have one, even though I expect to spend a fair amount on my new system.

So realistically, having decided I want a quiet understated black case with a good build (so no Xasers or Diablos etc.), I'm looking at the  Lian-Li PC-6070B as my first choice, and since that seems hard to locate in the UK (the silver version is very common), the   AccoustiCase C6607 B as my fallback. After that I'll just have to choose my PSU, hard and optical drives and cooling system with care te get as little noise as possible. At least both look nicer than the Zalman.  :-)

Because my main system is required to do a whole bunch of jobs - that's just my pattern of use - and a small form factor would be very limiting. Although I want it to be quiet - which would be a huge change from the current environment - I'm looking for a fully versatile solution. The Hush PC doesn't match my required specs: AMD64, SATA, good graphics card etc. Basically, you sacrifice components for space, and I don't want to do that.

I think I can build a system that does everything I want, but the drawback is that I'll have to chase up a lot of components from a lot of different suppliers, rather than buy everything in one big bundle.
