It's not that. The fact is that this is an awkward situation:

It's a last minute job (hence no advance booking discounts), it is on one of the worst supported transport routes in the country (public or private) and Ryu has a pile of equipment to lug with him.

I feel sorry for you Daz, and if I was mobile at the moment I'd take the time out to give you a lift down there even though I have no plans to go to the show myself. Alas, "if" isn't going to solve your problem. I really hope something turns up for you.

To all those who tried to make fun of my situation... well the time will come when you need help, and when that time comes I hope people are as cruel to you as you have been to me.

Don't take it personally. I don't think anyone was making fun of your situation as such. It's just human nature to turn to humour when things go pear-shaped.

My initial reaction to the subject line was to reply "It's up the stairs, second door on the right.", but I canned it when I realised you weren't in the mood to appreciate the joke.  Nevertheless, it would have been irreverent fun, not mockery of your predicament.
