Personally, I thought the announcement smelt almost as fishy as a KMOS buyout, so I didn't believe a word of it.

The trouble is not enough people look at the adverts. That's why no specific announcement that this was an April Fool was made.

One of the cycled adverts is "And the Winner of the April Fool's Joke Competition is..." (I'm paraphrasing from memory I'm afraid). If you click on that it brings you to this thread. AFAIK the advert has been there since the 2nd.
