im sure it is going to have javascript one day. there are some other projekts with which code could be shared. maybe if all do their efforts together we get one good browser.

I think that's unrealistic. These projects - Amaya, Amizilla, the KHTML port - are all just that: ports of Linux applications. It wouldn't help a great deal if all the porters get together because it's not like three coders bringing their own projects together to merge into one new one.

As far as I can tell adding Javascript is not on the Amaya roadmap, not would I seriously suggest using it as a browser replacement.

I fear the wait for a modern browser on AmigaOS must go on while longer. Amaya is a decent editor though.

We already have reasonable office applications (AmigaWriter, ProCalc, SuperBase, etc.) and web browsers (AWeb, iBrowse, Voyager).

I don't see any need to port bloatware such as OpenOffice, Mozilla, etc. when we already have our superior Amiga-only alternatives.

I haven't yet seen a site worth visiting that uses Java or CSS.

And this, my friends, is THE great obstacle!
