I was not impressed and reverted back to 8.1....but will probably go over to RedHats latest version for better support.
I have to say that doesn't sound like Mandrake 9.0 to me. I'm not sure what "good stuff" has been removed, or why your xchat and drivers don't work properly, but they work fine here, and I'd say it's a considerable improvement over the 8.x versions. Certainly it is easier to manage than the older versions.
In fact I'd say that it's Red Hat who have been stripping lots of good stuff out of their distros.
