HD problem with A2000
« on: August 27, 2004, 01:59:56 PM »
Hello,

I asked this a couple of months ago, but did not have time to concentrate on the problem because of my summer job. I also did not own WB disks then.

So here is the problem:

I have an Amiga 2000, WB & KS 3.1, with 1gb Seagate SCSI-HD and Commodore SCSI controller ("HD for Amiga 2500" says in the card).

When I start WB 3.1 installation HD tools won`t find the HD, so it does not show in the list for format etc.

What should I do? Any ideas?

Seriously . . . i think a SCSI cable termination problem

This is my first SCSI ever... does that mean that the HD must be connected to the last connector of the cable?
 :-?

You need to set the scsi id on the drive and then use a terminator to terminate the chain.

Hmm. so I can buy a scsi terminator from a computer store?

How do I set the ID on the drive?
