Hang on to those simms... I may be able to help you.  I've got a GVP Combo board (030 at 40MHz) (the upgrade to the 3001 sandwich).  Since it is part of the stock I picked up in Texas, I'm willing to let you have it cheap.  If you can figure out the problem with the system all the better.  I don't have any software or manuals, but those simms would definately work on it (comes with 4MB already).

In all honesty, I'm not sure where to start to fix the problem, but the yellow boot screen means there is a logic problem in the 68K/accel slot.  Yes I know the link is for 1200 & 4000 models but parts still hold true for the pre-AGA systems.
