Higher resolutions, higher colour depth, higher refresh rate. 1024x768 at 8/16/24 bit depending on memory (and version of the Retina - there's a Z2 and Z3 version).
Definitely worth having if it's a Z3. Z2 with EGS is still worth having, too...
This assumes you're using Workbench of course!
