;-) Maybe we're looking at it backward.  Instead of thinking of it as a monitor that can be used as a mirror, we could look at it as a mirror that can be used as a monitor/TV.  Imagine that in your bathroom, you notice that you've running low on shaving cream.  Just fire up the bathroom Internet terminal, and order some more, online.  The doorbell rings while you're brushing your teeth?  Flip over to the outdoor security camera and see who it is before firing up the intercom.
