@ Corrie:

;-) I remember reading a letter in an old Amiga Format magazine, back in the day.  The fellow who penned that missive put it better than I could, and his words apply to my situation, -except that I own several- so I'll pinch them and paraphrase them to share here.

Quote
"I've spent more money on [them] than I care to admit, and I've taken [them] apart more times than I've had hot dinners."

 And it brings a sentimental tear to my eye too, sometimes.

 (Windows brings tears to my eyes more often, but they aren't sentimental...)

...Amiga died in Australia in about 1994 and since then it's been a down hill slide . I remember Amiga owners were a tight group of people at school . 1 guy would buy the game and then the rest of us use to copy it . That way we could get so many games it was amazing . There were always new ones coming out . I wish those days could come again !

...At one stage in Australia late 80's early 90's Amiga had more games than IBM , more programs and a larger user interface . Now , well , its dead and u can virtually get an Amiga for free .
:-? You don't see any "cause and effect" relationship, here?  All of the "free" copies of games contributed heavily to the Amiga's demise.

 I hope those days don't come again.
