I've got a PPC and BVision inside my original A1200, although I've got an 060 which is less hot than an 040 I think. I did add some tweaks to be sure though but it works fine for me still. I bought myself a 2.5" hd, rewired a ground wire, used an extra strong powersupply and directed the 5V line to the floppy connector. I also added a small fan inside the desktop just above the BVision. Oh, and I think I cut some of the metal away to avoid a short circuit.
Have to admitt though that I don't run any 3D games alot, but wipeout works fine. I'm not sure what will happen if I push the limits alot, perhaps it than isn't stable anymore but I just don't have the need.
