Main Menu buggy in lowres
« on: May 09, 2025, 08:00:43 AM »
Hi,

I have my 600gs connected to an LCD tv (Polaroid make, it's quote old!). It really struggles to play games on the native resolution 1920x1080@60 (Monitor native mode), the games are laggy and running about half speed.

If I change the display on the 600gs to 1280x720@50 the games run perfect at the correct speed, however the main 600gs menu then becomes unusable, the disk images on the main screen are huge! The menu on the left side is only half visible, and there is no option to scroll around the screen to select things.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks,

Nick.

From imported ADF's and actual disks using drawbridge.

That doesn't seem to work either. I select A1200 select Jit, the game still runs at about half speed when the display is set to native on my TV, but runs fine when the TV is set to a lower (720p) resolution.

The actual main menu works fine with regards to speed on a higher or lower resolution, it just bugs out on low res, the ability to scroll round disappears and it's impossible to then do anything other than switch it off and on again!

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. It's definitely the TV, it all works fine on my monitor that I use for work, but slow as heck when connected to my tv on high res. Sorted now though, I've managed to get hold of another monitor (thanks work!!), and am now using that. the GS is set to high res and games run perfect on it - yay :) The TV has now been consigned to the loft for the rest of time lol!

There are definite bugs that AmigaKit need to look at when the GS is running in low res mode though, it becomes impossible to navigate!

Thanks again all :)
