install hd problem

i have a trumpcard 500 with a quantum prodrive 40s
the problem is that when iam prepairing my drive with
the program that came with the disk it says "no dos disk" bla bla when it trys to install workbench everything else works fine (according to the program)

in shell it says "no dos disk" when iam trying to
format

i dont now what to do!!! the owner before me sad he only
clickt on setupdrive in the program and then after a minute
the drive was installed and ready. :-?

it´s wb1.3, the program that iam using is tc utilities rev2.1 came with the controller.
no dh0: icon shows after partitioning/prepairing
when i try to amiga dos format the drive(in the program) it only takes 2 seconds then the drive is ready.
the first time id tryd to low level format the drive the program sad that the disk has read/write error, but now low level format works fine, but dos format dont work.
i have tryed in both the program and in shell (no dos disk in drive 0)
