How to make my A3000 "talk" to my PC
« on: March 15, 2006, 04:39:36 PM »
Hello All:

I am running Cloanto AF on my PC and have currently ADFs for my games there as well.  I am wanting to turn them back into Diskettes for use with my A3000.

Two problems?  (They may not be problems, just ignorance perhaps):

1)  Will the Amiga care if the media is a HD/DS disk like is still available?

2)  How do I get the A3000 to physically link to the PC to get the ADFs from my PC to my A3000 hard disk, then how do I actually make the floppies?

One more bit of information:  At this time, the A3000 does not have a network card, do I need one to do this?

Thanks and hope someone can enlighten me.  If there is a URL that outlines these process(es) I would love to know where this is.

Cheers!  Mike

So this is kind of a "Laplink" style solution?  Sounds interesting and I may actually still have a null modem adapter someplace around here :-)

I'll look into this.

@Macabre

Where did you find your ethernet card and what was the cost.  I have an A3000, so IIRC, that same card should work?

Thanks,
