I suppose people enjoy it for the geek factor more than anything else. An A3000UX is rather trivial next to almost any x86 machine running any of the bajillion variants of BSD or Linux, but it is certainly another reason to have an Amiga besides AmigaOS. Same with BSD/Linux on Amiga.
