Nothing compiles on AMIX!

Yeargh!  Not perl!  Not openssl!  Not gcc 2.9.5 or 2.8.anything or 3.anything!  Not php or any X applications or lynx or uae!  Not a slew of GNU tools.  Not mysql.

Bad offset this, bad symbol that -- errors errors errors!  I want to just 2> /dev/null so I don't even have to see them anymore.  Configure almost always works, which is like the carrot on a stick that keeps me trying this stuff.  The lovely "type make to compile" is such an empty promise on AMIX...!

Ranty ranty roooooo!

Ok I'm done.  Back to my screen session to try more stuff that won't compile :-D

I don't mind so much, but having openssh tell me I needed zlib...compiled that ok...then it says I need openssl (omg, how could I forget that)...then that needs perl5...perl5 didn't compile...

I was kinda pissed when I wrote that :-)  But it's mostly fun.
