I run 3.1, 3.5, and 3.9 on my A2000.  I have and 030 accelerator, 8mb of fast ram, and 3.1 ROM.  It has ECS.  I don't know about a standard, unaccelerated 2000.  Try it and see. :)

No sense trying. It will NOT work! 3.5 & 3.9 require at least an '020 CPU.
I have an A2000 with an '030 that I run 3.5 on. 3.9 runs to slow, and hogs way to much memory. This is a great setup for the A2000/2000HD
As other's have stated, there was no 3.0 KS ever made for the A2000, only 3.1, but that works out fine.

Yes you are right even on my Amiga 4000/30 with 18 MB RAM 3.9 is not so fast. It takes a long time to boot up. Are there something i can do to make it faster? change color or background picture etc?

Somewhat. Add more fast RAM, and use routines that allow using Fast RAM rather than chip RAM for as much as possible. I am not familiar with all of the routines/programs that do this however. Maybe some others can help here.
